Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Here are the ingredients you will need to make delicious homemade cinnamon rolls...

Ingredients for dough

2 cups warm milk
4 eggs, room temp
2/3 cup butter, melted
9 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 cup white sugar
1 tbs and 2 tsp yeast

Directions for dough


Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients, adding milk slowly. Mix together until a dough comes together.
Turn out on a lightly floured surface, knead till smooth and bounces back when poked, adding more flour if necessary a little at a time. Let rise in a lightly oiled bowl till doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Ingredients for filling
2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup and 1tbs ground cinnamon
2/3 cup butter, softened

Then roll dough out into a large rectangle and spread melted butter evenly. Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly out on dough.
Roll up dough up tightly from the long side, and then cut into about one inch circles, you may end up with about 24 rolls.

(*Hint use a peace if thread! Cut about an 18” long piece of thread, put the tread under dough where you want to cut and cross treads over dough.)

Place cinnamon rolls in a large greased cake pan. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes, or till doubled in size.
Meanwhile preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake rolls in preheated oven until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
Ingredients for glaze frosting
1 – 8 oz pack cream cheese, softened

½ cup butter, softened

3 cups powder sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

¼ tsp. salt

While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, butter, powder sugar, vanilla and salt. Spread over warm rolls before serving, and there you go!
